camp snoopy 2008

We got to the park in time for purchasing tickets and entering before they started allowing riders on rides! That's a good start.  Beth, Tim, and I rode Ghost rider first off. I'll skip it next year.. it's just too jerky, I'm sure it's that it's a wooden roller coaster.  No big deal. There's still plenty to enjoy.

The littles went with my parents to Camp snoopy while the three of us rode Ghost rider.  They started out with Woodstock's Airmail, then moved to the "big kid" ride of the sideways scrambler.. I was most impressed to see that they rode it. Let alone rode it without either Tim, Beth, or me with them.  They loved it!!!

Katie and Tori discovered the downs and ups of getting older / taller.  They were too tall for two rides in Camp Snoopy, but tall enough for Montezuma's revenge. Which they loved!!!! Tori has 2 more inches and Katie 4 more before they can ride the REALLY big kid coasters like Silver bullet, but they're excited to do so!

Here's a couple pictuers from the days fun.

stuff and things

First off, anyone who read and thought good thoughts for my grandmother, thank you. She's doing well. The bleeding stopped and her speech is slowly returning. The paralysis may or may not dissipate but she'll learn to do what needs to be done regardless of it.

A few quick updates,  I left you last in January, just after my birthday.  Much of January and February were just regular days, nothing much happened.  February 22 my Katie turned 8  we had an ice skating birthday party for her, then dinner with an sundae bar for dessert afterwards.  She was delighted to receive a nintendo ds and some games (and money for more games) along with more littlest petshop stuff and a few polly pocket items.  Early March she lost one of her upper front teeth, the other is soon to follow.

March was of course St. Patricks day, which I spent on an irish pubs of OC pub crawl with my parents.. sounds way more than it was.. we went to 3 places saw friends and visited.  no I did not drink green beer, that is for the novices.  I did enjoy some yummy corned beef though!!  Easter was good, we enjoyed an egg hunt at church on Saturday, and then an early dinner with my family. Which was really enjoyable as I'd sung at the 6:30 sunrise service, as well as the two regular services that morning.  I was tired.

I've started spring cleaning.  My friend C. came over Monday to help me with the girls room. We finished in just a few hours, ate lunch and took our kids to DCA.  I brought my crew home to change and head out with their dad for easter festivities with his family. I had bell choir rehearsal, so I stayed home. I'll do a separate post for yesterday (knott's berry farm)... today we slept, made about like lazy bums, and recovered from 2 theme park days, mixed in with family time.

Ok.. you're now mostly updated.

Too long

I'll have to save a big update for later.  But I wanted to pop in and say HAPPY EASTER to everyone.  I hope you have a great day, wheather you spend it in church, or chasing eggs and watching for the bunny. :o)

As a small request,  please think positive thoughts or pray for my grandmother, she suffered a stroke last night. Her condition is still not totally stable.  Thanks~
